“Science and everyday life cannot and should not be separated.” – Rosalind Franklin
It is with great honor that Alakal UK presents before you “Science Spectacular- Unveiling the Mysteries” a science exhibition for children up to the age of 20. From the domestic sphere to the public space we all share, science explores how technology has changed the rhythms of our home life, improved our health, shaped our habits and affected our built environment. Children and young people find it fascinating and enjoyable if they can do experiments – like a real scientist. Considering that sciences intensively influence our daily lives, it should create an even deeper interest in young people in this field when offering experiments related to things in our daily lives or experiences we make. The proposed session will take into account both these aspects in that all participants of this practical exhibition will present hands-on-experiments, which young people could do by themselves at science centres, schools or even places with little equipment, and which have relevance to our daily life. Participants of this exhibition range from three different age groups; juniors our little champions between the ages of five years to 10 years, seniors between the ages of 11 years to 15 years and super seniors between the ages of 16 years to 20 years. They will present experiments from the fields of Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Technology. The exhibition attendees will be awarded accordingly by a panel of judges to motivate their scientific skills. Let us help our children to think rationally and bring their potential to the best of their ability.
“In science the credit goes to the man who convinces the world, not to the man to whom the idea first occurs.” – Sir William Osler
